Join Us Sunday

We want to make Sunday the best part of your week.

About Us

We know visiting a church for the first time can feel a little intimidating—but it doesn’t have to be.

At Love Lake Norman, we want to make your first experience with us as smooth and welcoming as possible. From where to park to what to expect in our worship experiences, we’ll walk you through every step.

If you’re bringing kids, you can even pre-register them so check-in is quick and stress-free.

Where and When

Love Lake Norman gathers for worship experiences on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM at the beautiful Cain Center for the Arts in downtown Cornelius. We recommend arriving 10 to 15 minutes early to find parking and get settled.

As you plan your visit, refer to the map for available parking lots. You’ll see friendly volunteers ready to assist you in the parking areas and outside the building.

When you arrive, stop by our Info Center right inside the front door. A volunteer will greet you, answer any questions, and point you in the right direction. While you’re here, swing by our coffee bar to grab a cup before the worship experience begins. We can’t wait to meet you!

Adults

Our Sunday worship experience lasts about 60 minutes and features inspirational music led by a talented team, creating an atmosphere that lifts your spirit and prepares your heart. You’ll hear an encouraging and insightful message from the Bible designed to grow your faith and help you navigate everyday life.
In addition to Sunday morning gatherings, we also have opportunities for you to get involved through crews, serving teams, local outreach opportunities, and classes.

Kids

At Love Kids, we’re passionate about creating a fun, safe, and engaging space where children (6 weeks–5th grade) can discover and follow Jesus. Our trained, background-checked volunteers are ready to welcome your kids with open arms during our Sunday worship experiences at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM. We use the 252 Kids Curriculum from Orange, blending biblical lessons with fun activities designed to grow faith and character.

Here’s What to Expect:

  • Infants & Toddlers (6 weeks–2 years): A cozy space for play and care.
  • PreK (3–5 years): Fun, hands-on learning about Jesus with a caring team.
  • K–2nd Grade: Interactive lessons about Jesus in a lively main-floor space.
  • 3rd–5th Grade: Engaging discussions upstairs, exploring how faith connects to everyday life.

We’re excited to meet you and your family—we’re saving a spot just for you!

Students

Next Wave is our student ministry for 6th–12th grade students, designed to help them build friendships and community, grow in their faith through worship, Bible teaching, and small group discussions.

Every Sunday at 11:00 AM, students check in downstairs before gathering in the lobby to enter the worship experience together. Our time includes games, worship, and teaching from The Gospel Project, a study that helps students see how all Scripture points to Jesus. We also offer fun events, retreats, and serving opportunities to help students connect with each other and their faith.

What is the leadership structure like here?
Love Lake Norman is guarded by the Advisory Team, guided by the Staff Team, and gifted through the congregation. We work hand-in-hand to move the mission to help people find and follow Jesus forward.
The Advisory Team is like the wise and steady compass of Love Lake Norman, making sure we stay on course with our mission, values, and vision. Serving as our Board of Directors, they prayerfully discern, shepherd, and evaluate everything happening in the church through the lens of our mission, resources, and doctrinal beliefs. They also keep our Lead Pastor accountable—so if you ever wonder who keeps Jerel in check, it’s them! On top of all that, they have the important task of approving the budget, ensuring we steward our resources well. With wisdom, faith, and a whole lot of heart, they help guide Love Lake Norman forward.
